The study aimed to measure the role of the Teaching Staffs at Shaqra University in developing the Saudi national character among their students according to the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030 from their point of view.
The study used the descriptive analytical approach by applying a questionnaire consisting of four dimensions of the Saudi national personality, namely: the cultural dimension, the educational dimension, the Social dimension, the economic and technical dimension, with a total of 24 items.
The questionnaire was applied to 112 teaching staff members at Shaqra University.
The study found that the teaching staff members at Shaqra University have a major role in developing the Saudi national character among their students according to the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.
Also, there was a difference in the degree of teaching staff development in the dimensions of the Saudi national personality (the cultural dimension - the educational dimension - the social - the technical and economic dimension) among their students according to the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
The cultural dimension of the Saudi national personality came with a very high degree of estimation, while both the educational dimension and the social dimension of the Saudi national personality came with a high degree of estimation, then the economic and technical dimension of the Saudi national personality came with a medium degree of estimation.
The results also showed there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the teaching staff responses at Shaqra University towards their level of development of the Saudi national personality dimensions among their students according to the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, attributable to the academic degree variable (Professor - Associate Professor - Assistant Professor).
The study concluded with presenting a set of recommendations in light of the results.
One of them is setting up a plan within Saudi universities to develop the teaching staff awareness of the importance of the economic and technical dimension of the Saudi personality, in enhancing students’ confidence in Saudi local products and their ability to compete with international products, in addition to implementing a set of different workshops to develop the of The teaching staff awareness of the various dimensions and programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and how to implement and achieve it within universities, and their roles in it.
