The research aims at studying Epigram poetry in The Literature of Strangers by Al- Asfahani.

It consists of an introduction, three sections and a conclusion.

The introduction defines Epigram poetry, The Literature of Strangers and Al-Asfahani.

The first section discusses building the poetic image in Epigram poetry; and the second section discusses the rhythmic patterns in the Epigram poetry.

The third section discusses the intertextual structure in the Epigram poetry; and the conclusion comes with the most important results and recommendations.

Some of these are insisting on importance of the art of Epigram for Arabic literature, and that The Literature of Strangers' by Al-Asfahani is the first book to collect many epigrams.

The poets excel in using the poetic images, rhythm and intertextuality to express their varied purposes.
