Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify the role of the university in enhancing intellectual security in the society, as well as to identify the nature of the necessary requirements to be met in order for the university to play its role in achieving the intellectual security of the people of society and the most important challenges it faces during its mission.

From reaching the objectives of the research, the researcher adopted the social survey method as the most appropriate to reach real results, as the appropriate tools and methods were used to collect data, in addition to preparing a special form to achieve the objectives of the research, and here has been a random sample of a total (501) students from scientific and human colleges The research has reached a set of important findings, including: 54.1% of respondents believe that they are working to correct the abnormal thinking of some students, and 68.8% of them believe that the current curriculum needs to be developed to cope with the intellectual challenges and deviant ideas faced by Iraqi society, in addition to the fact that 42.5% of the researchers consider that the university is failing to hold scientific conferences to educate students about the importance of sound thinking that determines the fate of Iraqi society.
