This legal study aims to clarify the effective role that the building permit plays in ensuring the movement of construction.

It is considered a legal and supervisory tool for construction works and urban expansion.

The administration does not grant it unless the legal conditions and procedures stipulated in the planning and reconstruction laws are met.

One of the repercussions of random and illegal construction, the building permit contributes significantly to the protection of the environment and nature, especially through the conditions imposed on the building and the environmental preconditions that must be followed to obtain it, which reflects and confirms the close relationship between the building permit and the protection of the environment.

And because protecting the environment is one of the literature on sustainable development, the building permit is a legal means that effectively guarantees the achievement of the sustainable development goals sought by the Algerian state.
