Abstract EN

The current research aims to build a tool for evaluating the achievement tests are prepared by university professors.

This is as a contribution of the researcher in developing and making sure of quality of the evaluation methods.

These evaluation methods are followed by the university professor in accordance with the standards that are prepared by the Saudi universities in constructing evaluation tools.

Through reviewing the literature, the researcher has found that the achievement test is the commonly used tool by lecturers in their evaluation to their students.

So, the researcher designed a tool including technical and scientific standards in constructing achievement tests.

The tool was arbitrated by a group of experts.

Then, it was applied on a pilot sample to extract some criteria of the good achievement test.

The researcher obtained the consensus of the arbitrators on the validity of this tool to measure the skills of university professors in the constructing of achievement tests, and according to the coefficient of internal consistency between items of the tool was 54%, which is regarded as a suitable indication for using the tool.

Also, it was found that the reliability of this tool using Cronbach’s alpha which was 72%.

The descriptive analytical approach was employed in the current study.
