Abstract EN

Sentence has an irrefrangible connection with the language, and linguists, from the earliest times, have categorized Arabic sentences into “verbal” and “nominal” groups and each of them implies a specific context.

Undoubtedly, Quran, which is a prime example of Arabic language, has used all the delicate aspects of the rules of language in a way that by changing the place of words and verses of Quran, their meanings changes and new shades of meanings are created.

The present study, based on the analysis of form and structure, investigates the elements and compounds of verbal sentences in Kahf Surah.

Then, besides describing and analyzing the constituents of sentence and their syntactic functions, it explores different types of verbal sentences and briefly sketches upon some of its rhetorical and lexical realizations.

The present study reveals that the beautiful styles of this Surah, which are awesome, do not have any significance over other surahs in terms of fluency and rhetoric and its importance is mostly due to expressing the stories of “Ashab-e-Kahf”, “Mousa and Khedhr” and “ZolGharnein” which are not presented in other surahs
