The school is considered to be one of the earliest institutions for socializing the child, and it is considered to be the most important institution for teaching the environmental concepts of the child to help him understand his environment and its components.

and how to preserve it, especially since the student spends most of his time at school and childhood is a positive element in the field of education being more receptive to the message of awareness in relation to categories of other age, and thus establishing a healthy environmental education, is considered as a guarantee of a healthy future without any problemThrough this research, we wanted to know the role that the school in teaching environmental education to students, and what is the reality of this education in primary school through all the components of its educational processes, including understood the programs, the methods and the teachers, and we used the descriptive approach and we used the questionnaire and the interrogation as two basic techniques in our research and we used the intentional sample for the students of fourth grade and their teachers.

We have found that the school has a fundamental role to indoctrinate the environmental education of the student and it is the main source of its environmental knowledge, and the teacher has an important role to indoctrinate the students with the basics of environmental education.

Consequently, the programs must be improved and enriched by specific themes linked to environmental education to ensure an ecological and civilized generation capable of advancement in all domains.
