The causes for the low academic achievement among second grade secondary students in AL-Ramtha Directorate of Education for the academic year 2015/2016 This study aimed to identify the causes for the low academic achievement among second grade secondary students in AL-Ramtha Directorate of Education, a questionnaire has been constructed consisting of 40 items, divided into three domains represented by the following domains: personal, psychological, social sphere, and the area of the school environment.

The questionnaire was applied on the study sample consisting of (329), which was selected randomly from a stratified three specializations: scientific, literary, and information technology.

The researcher found that the areas of study had a role in the low academic achievement of the students in varying proportions; field Profile ratio of 75.6%, and Social 83%, and the school environment 88%.

The study recommended to consider the causes that have high means, and treating them with the suitable methods
