Abstract EN

This study aims to measure the impact of financial market return shocks on economic growth rates in Qatar during the period (1998-2019) in light of the GCC countries, through the use of an econometric study consisting of several econometrics tests.

Through this study, we concluded that there is no impact of the financial market return on economic growth, where it became clear that it is necessary for the State of Qatar to implement support for efforts aimed at achieving financial integration of the GCC, with the necessity of diversification of the securities in the Qatar Stock Exchange, and not to link economic growth of Qatar to fuel sector.
