Abstract EN

This study searches and examines the phenomenon of superstitious thinking among the students of the Faculty of ARTS - King Saud University.

The importance of this study is that it examines one of the important subjects cognitively and continually in scientific efforts in researching that phenomenon, in addition to the importance of studying it in youth.

The study aims at knowing the size and spread of this phenomenon among students of the Faculty of Arts - King Saud University, and at examining the relationship of demographic variables among students towards superstitious thinking, this is done by following the scientific methodology through the mechanism of both description and analysis mechanism according to the social survey method by simple random sample.

The main results of the study: 1- The students moved away from believing in the credibility of the superstitious beliefs while emphasizing their spread among the female students in the academic institutions.

2- There are no statistically significant difference among the different attitudes of students towards superstitious thinking in different demographic variables.

3- Statistical tests did not indicate the applicability of superstitious thinking to the students.
