According to Ordinance No.

15-02 of 23 July 2015 amending and supplementing the Code of Criminal Procedure, the legislator has provided legal protection for witnesses, in serious offenses such as the offense of trafficking in persons, in order to allow them to testify far from all fears and pressures, but this protection is ineffective, forcing the legislator to intervene to remedy some of the shortcomings reached by this study, in order to strengthen the effectiveness of this protection, and to encourage witnesses to testify, ensure the proper functioning of justice and obtain evidence on such offenses.
