Abstract EN

This study aims to measure the impact of knowledge economy indicators on economic growth in Algeria, using annual data during the period 1990-2019.

The study applied the autoregressive distributed lag model (ARDL).

The research relied on the indicators defined by the World Bank in measuring the knowledge economy.

The results of the study revealed the existence of a co-integration relationship between indicators of the knowledge economy and economic growth in the long term.

The study also showed the positive effect of both the indicator of the proportion of spending on education and the index of net inflows from foreign direct investment on economic growth.

As for the indicators of Internet users and mobile phone subscribers, both have a negative impact on economic growth, in addition to the ability of the error correction model to rapidly adapt towards equilibrium in the long run.
