Abstract EN

This research deals with Imam al-Douri's reading based on Imam Omar bin Ala'a Al-Basry.

It is, until recently, one of the Quranic readings adopted by Muslims.

They check and verify their Quran versions according to it, before it vanishes and be replaced with reading of Hafs based on Asim bin Abi Al-Najoud Al-Kufi in Mashriq, particularly, in Iraq, Levantine and Egypt.

Life of Imam al-Douri, his growing up, arguments and grounds of his reading, history of his reading emergence and circulation, its decline and recession and reasons of replacing it with that of Hafs's were dealt with and investigated.

In this research, factors which would help to circulate this reading were investigated and shed light on and the concerned scientific conclusions and recommendations were given.
