The study aimed to monitor the most important dynamic effects that can result from linking wages to productivity in Egypt during the period (1990-2017).

Through the analytical description method and through the hypothesis that "linking wages to productivity can reflect positive effects on the fair distribution of income and reduce poverty and enhance competitiveness, the study found that the imbalance between wages and productivity in the Egyptian economy, cast a shadow on the majority of its variables and negatively affected the sustainability On the other hand, it concluded that linking wages to productivity requires a number of pillars, the most important of which are (linking active labor market policies to macroeconomic policies, linking wages to prices, harmonizing growth and income distribution, The study also showed that there are many positive effects that this linkage can have, starting with ensuring a decent standard of living, reducing poverty rates, enhancing the competitiveness of the workforce and creating a stable work environment free from disturbances
