Abstract EN

This study examined the role of the formal actors in Handicrafts Industries in the process of policy analysis in Arab Republic of Egypt.

Egypt witnessed progress and development in Handicrafts Industries, from (2010-2019) a lot of institutional and legislative framework were initiated.

A first chamber of handicrafts industry was established, a handicraft export council and restructuring economic institutions such as restructuring the handicraft industries and productive cooperation on the legislative level a set of laws and legislations encouraging export and facilitating productive work were issued, along with other numbers of local, regional and international exhibitions for handicrafts, which contributed to raising awareness of the importance of handicrafts.

Despite of these developments, a number of obstacles still exist, this paper is trying to explore the effectiveness of policies and cooperation among the formal and informal actors of Handicrafts Industries in Egypt.
