Financial leasing is an important means of financing projects by obtaining what the lessee needs from the movable or real estate assets without having to buy those assets The need for this financing method has emerged as an effective way to get the financing needed by the projects when they cannot Access funds through traditional financing means to meet their needs.

In view of the importance of financial leasing, the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT), which aimed at establishing legal rules governing financial leasing, has received the acceptance of different countries, and contributed to the development of the financial leasing industry.

These include the 2008 Model Law on Leasing.

Which we will try to study its provisions because they represent the model legal rules that contribute to the formulation of a common understanding of leasing finance, as well as being a model that can be used by the countries that intend to enact a law on financial leasing or those that wish to develop their law.
