The study aimed to identify the nature of the trauma of liberation and the methods of adaptation used by the liberated Palestinian prisoner, as well as to reveal the relationship between the trauma of liberation and the methods of adaptation used to confront them in addition to uncovering the differences in both the liberation shock and the methods of adaptation due to the independent variables, number of years of detention, type of sentence, and age of the prisoner at Detention and the educational qualification of the prisoner, and the researcher applied the study tools to (100) Palestinian prisoners released and the researcher used the descriptive approach to answer the study questions, the most important results were the absence of a relationship between the shock of liberation and the methods of adaptation and the presence of differences in the average shock of liberation Among prisoners held for a period of one year or less, and detainees held for four years or more in favor of the second category, while there were no differences on the rest of the independent variables, as there were differences in psychological adjustment methods attributable to the age of the prisoner when detained between the category 18 years and less and the category 19 years to 25 years in favor of the first category and the lack of Differences over other independent variables.
