The current research aims to identify : (The effect of the Antostel model on analytical thinking for second intermediate class's girls students) To verify the research objectives, the following The null hypotheses were formulated: (There is no statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the average grades of students of the experimental group studying the Antostel model and the average grades of the students of the control group studying the regular method in the analytical thinking test) The experimental design of partially controlled (experimental group and control group),were chosen.
The research sample consisted of (60) female students from the second intermediate class, distributed on two experimental and control groups, and the two groups were equalized in the variables.
(Chronological age in months, intelligence, previous information in chemistry, previous achievement in chemistry, test of analytical thinking) The research tools were prepared and the achievement test consisted of (25) items of a multiple choice type.
The skill of (observation, cause and effect, comparison or interview, prediction, expectation, guesswork, classification) The psychometric characteristics of both tests were calculated.
The data were analyzed and statistically treated, and by the adoption of statistical methods (T-test of two equal independent samples, and the Koder Richardson equation -20, The standard deviation, the coefficient of difficulty and the coefficient of discrimination for the items, and the effectiveness of alternatives to the objective items), and the results reached: The existence of a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05among the average grades of students of the experimental group who are studying the Antostel model and The average grades of the students of the control group studying in the regular method in analytical thinking of the chemistry subject.
In light of the results of the research, the researcher recommended adopting the Antostel model in teaching chemistry subject.And suggest to prepare subsequent studies to search in the effect of the Antostel model on other variables and other academic stages.
