The study aimed to identify the level of work pressures of academic leaders at Taiz University from their point of view.
Sample of study consisted of (28) individuals: deans, deputies of faculties and managers of centers.
The study relied on the descriptive survey method.
The researcher used the questionnaire as a tool for the study.
The results of the study showed that the academic leaders at Taiz University suffer from work pressures at a medium level, from their point of view.
The most important sources of work pressure, which ranked first according to responses to the study sample is the axis of the nature of work at a high-pressure level.
While the rest of the axes came at a medium pressure level The second level is the workload axis.
Moreover, the third level came with the role conflict, and the fourth level was the work environment, while work-group axis ranked the fifth and the last.
The study also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at (0.05) level in the responses of the study sample and they are related to the job variable on work pressures as a whole and on each axis of work pressures.
Moreover, the absence of statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) in sample responses of study is related to the variable of years of experience in administrative work on the pressures of work as a whole and on each axis except the workload axis for the benefit of medium experience individuals (more than 5 to 10 years) to those who have long experience (more than 10 years).
The study concluded with a set of recommendations to develop the skills of academic leaders in dealing with work pressures.
