Abstract EN

The present study aimed to identify the impact of administrative communication management on crises management in the Jordanian press institutions, with knowledge management as a mediating variable.

The study’s population consisted of the top, middle and executive management levels in the Jordanian press institutions that issue daily newspapers, with a total of (637) employees, and the sample was selected by using the random stratified proportionate sampling method and consisted of (240) employees.

And to achieve the objectives of the study and to test its hypotheses, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (75) paragraphs for collecting data from the study’s sample.

(209) questionnaire forms were retrieved and considered valid for statistical analysis, and thus have been analyzed using (SPSS).

The study reached several results, some of which are the presence of impact of administrative communication management in terms of its dimensions on both crises management in terms of its dimensions combined and individually and on knowledge management in terms of it dimensions combined in Jordanian press institutions, the presence of impact of knowledge management in terms of its dimensions on crises management in terms of its dimensions combined in Jordanian press institutions, the presence of impact of administrative communication management in terms of its dimensions on crises management in terms of its dimension combined in light of the existence of knowledge management as a mediating variable in Jordanian press institutions.

The study suggested several recommendations for top management of the Jordanian Press Institutions; some of which are: providing moral or financial incentives to the employees who participate in implementing the communication plan effectively, emphasizing to continuously provide various and modern means of communication for the purpose of exchanging information quickly between managers of various management levels provided that the cost does not exceed the expected results, providing employees with adequate training about the way of implementing the communication plan, and setting contingency plans for handling any crisis that might be faced, and to benefit from the previous experiences to generate knowledge that will benefit the employees especially when dealing with crises.
