Abstract EN

The current study aims to analyze the relationship between profit rates in the Jordanian Economy and the variables of economic activity for the period 2003- 2019.

This required the researcher to prepare a set of data of a macro-nature in the Jordanian Economy.

Because of some difficulties in obtaining data, alternative variables were used to determine the behavior of profit rates in the Jordanian Economy in the target period of time.

In order to test the research model and the validity of the relationship proposed by the researcher, the rates of profit growth in the Jordanian economy were calculated, as well as economic growth rates and wage rates for the same period.

And through statistical methods, the researcher reached a set of results, which reflected in their entirety the researcher's goals in this study.

Among the findings of the researcher: the existence of a tendency for profit rates in the Jordanian Economy to decline, the effect of positive and negative population pressures at the same time on profit rates, and the positive correlation between the increase in the proportion of work in total capital and the rates of profit at the level of the Jordanian economy.
