Sports tourism has become a key to developing the local economy, especially as it has transformed from a mere sporting arts into an important sector, and according to the World Travel and Tourism Council, about 10% of the total number of tourists worldwide go to countries and places to practice sports, or watch sporting events.

Countries compete with each other to host sporting events, due to its positive impact on the country's economy.

Sports marketing is one of the important factors on which successful sports organizations and clubs depend, which depends on the reality of need, objectivity, and requirements for the advancement of youth in general, and therefore the process of marketing sports activities must be integrated in dimensions in terms of competencies, abilities, material and moral capabilities, since sports marketing is a means of organized and specific work.

And with it, you can reach the required goals.

Therefore, our research paper aims to identify the importance and role of marketing sports activities in promoting sports tourism in Algeria.

By defining the concept of both sports marketing and sports activities and knowing the most important factors affecting it, in addition to addressing the areas of sports marketing, then reviewing the concept of sports tourism and its most important tourist sites, as well as addressing the impact of sports tourism on social development, in addition to proposing a set of recommendations in light of the results reached To improve the effectiveness of sports marketing activities and raise the productivity of sports tourism activities.
