Abstract EN

The research revolves around the book of Sunan al-Tirmidhi or Jami' al-Tirmidhi by Imam Muhammad bin Isa al-Tirmidhi, who died in the year (279 AH / 892 CE), which is a book taught by scholars and it is an anthology (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan al-Nasa'i, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunun Daud, and Sunn al-Tirmidhi).

Imam al-Tirmidhi made great efforts in studying the science of the noble prophetic hadith and toured throughout the Arab Islamic countries listening and narrating the hadith of the Prophet and the fruit of that was his writing of this important book.

Therefore, it is not surprising that the scholars of the Islamic nation are interested in his book as they studied, heard and narrated it.

The interests of scholars were divided into four Discussions, the first of which dealt with the life of Imam al-Tirmidhi, investigating the name of the book and its importance, then talking about the best copies and editions.

As for the second topic, it dealt with the scholars who explained the book, and the third study dealt with the scholars who shortened the book, while the fourth topic dealt with the scholars who wrote on its edges, selected from it, narrated it, or comprehended.

Therefore, it is noticeable that these scholars that we will discuss in the research were the flags of the Islamic nation, such as Al-Hafez Al-Iraqi, Ibn Asakir, Al-Sakhawi, Al-Balkini, Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali, Al-Suyuti, Al-Hakim Al-Kabir, and Ibn Arabi, and I will explain the efforts of these scholars in that in the folds of the research.
