Modern colonialism used several tools in order to control the countries of the world, among which were the minorities in those countries, especially non-Muslims, as it mostly agreed ideologically, following various means of perpetuating contact with them, foremost among which were the missionaries and archaeologists who were the first nucleus of colonial penetration among minorities.
These countries, and the colonial states to show themselves as the savior of these minorities from the oppression of the rulers of their countries with the aim of harnessing them to serve their colonial interests and making them a tool to strike the national movements that appear against them or at least tear the unity of the word anti-colonial peoples calling for independence to perpetuate the longest possible period of time, and a good example of that The policy adopted by the British government towards the minorities of Iraq, in particular Yezidis.
