Abstract EN

In the fourth century AH / tenth century CE, the Arab-Islamic civilization reached the apex of its brilliance in philosophy and science, mental openness, and intellectual tolerance, despite foreign interventions and conflicts, especially the Turks and Buyids.

Those scholars and thinkers Abi Hayyan al-Tawhidi, who gained wide scientific fame and was considered one of the most prominent thinkers of his time, did not distinguish from his own style of authorship, until Yaqout al-Hamwi described him as a philosopher of writers, a writer of philosophers, and an imam of al-Bulghah.

This research came to study and probe the depths of one of the most famous works of Abi Hayyan al-Tawhidi (entertainment and sociability) by reviewing the visions and methodology that al-Tawhidi drew for himself and followed them, as well as the realistic and expressive style of the era in which he lived, whether in the political, intellectual, cultural or social sphere.

And his fluctuations, which he focused on, in addition to the diversity of the resources he adopted in writing this book.
