Abstract EN

This research aims to study the scenes of Al-Jahidhi's Maqamat by Badi’ Al- Zaman Al-Hamthani and its symbolic and inspirational manifestations within the cultural fabric of the Abbasid era.

This period of criticism conflicts and literary balances is a problem of the aesthetic gap between the old and the modern and their approaches.

The paper, through critically and interpretively studying the texts of the Maqamat, aims to deepen the meanings inherent in the Maqamat, and limit their narrative scenes-spatial, caricature, and dialectical - in one semantic crucible, which critically constitute a cultural conflict in their linguistic styles and creative formulation with the orientation and tendencies of the receiving public
