Abstract EN

This study aims to analyze the structure of time in digital narratives, and to reflect the most prominent manifestations of time, and new features, as well as monitor their impact on time-critical narrative techniques, and this was established through the structure of time in traditional narratives and follow the transformations produced by the mixing of literature with technology.

The study adopted the analytical descriptive approach, as well as the use of other methodological tools required by the processing elements, from semiotics and the comparative method, based on the novels of the pioneer of Arab digital creativity, Mohammed Sanajleh as a procedural model.

The study highlighted a proposal for a new division of digital narrative time structure: operational time, activation time, and the default time as interviews of the traditional narrative time structure: reading time, discourse time, and the story time in addition to a description of the most prominent features of these time structures, and their effects in some narrative techniques
