Perhaps one of the most prominent motives for writing this research is what I have noticed of violation of the rights of the child and childhood in our present time, and what children suffer of negligence, vagrancy and bunking at the streets, with the lack of the human aspect, or religious and moral incentive to look into the conditions of this vulnerable category in the society.

So the researcher deemed it necessary to address this issue with a historical research that deals with the rights and duties of the child in the era of the message and the child's status to the prophet (PBUH) and his companions.

The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were able to raise a new generation of youngsters to lead this nation to progress, prosperity, and intellectual and civil promotion in addition to the formation of families that preserved their offspring since childhood till they grow up righteously in a society of humanity and near idealism where the child constitutes the foundation of the family of which their raising up of children was to protect the human race and to maintain life and population.

This paper tackles the subject of childhood in this study; children in language and in terminology are the category which did not reach the age of puberty for male or of menarche for female.

We also addressed the accurate standard of child growth, raising and parentage in a religiously and ethically preservative family, as well as the things instructed by the prophet (PBUH) to be considered before giving birth; like marrying one's match of women in religion and morals, and to be keen that the woman has no bodily defect which may affect her offspring and consequently cause a disorder in the child's personality and health.
