Abstract EN

This paper aims at discovering the role of the morphological patterns in the famous poem known in literary criticism as “Lamiyyat Alajam” by alTughrai as opposed to the main Arabic poem “Lamiyyat al-Arab” by al-Shanfara.

This study also tries to point out the argumentational style used by al- Tughrai in his poem.

In order to fulfill this purpose, we have quoted many examples selected according to the various patterns in his “Lamiyyah”.

We have come to a conclusion that al-taghrai have implemented many morphological patterns in his “Lamiyya” as a means of argumentation throughout a stylistic features context.

This has , of course, been shown throughout his “Lamiyyah” by comparing the patterns and its position in the whole “Lamiyyah”.

It should be noted that we have found some morphological patterns that appear occasionally in the “Lamiyyah” when compared with other patterns.

This ,of course, shows the importance of these patterns when compared with others.
