Abstract EN

The research is (Egypt's Attitudes Toward Natural Disasters on the Hijaz in the Ottoman Era).

The study includes three topics, the first one dealt with the geography of the Hijaz country (its topography and climate), and the second topic dealt with natural disasters in the Hijaz region from (lack of water, rain and floods, drought and famine, high prices, epidemics and diseases), while the third topic was about Egyptian efforts in Facing the natural disasters that swept the Hijaz region.

Then I finished the research with a conclusion that included the most important results, including : -The dominant feature of the geography of the Hejaz region is the overcoming of desertification and drought, and that this feature is the product of natural disasters that often befell the Hijaz.

-The study clarified Egypt's great role in standing by the Hijaz region in facing these disasters, and harnessing all Egyptian capabilities for the relief of the region
