The concept of capital has a characteristic intrinsic to the institutions of society, and the most striking is the family, because it seeks to accumulate capital different in their types, of various nature and values such as physical capital, social and cultural to ensure the process of its operations and the quality of its objectives.

The most striking is the cultural capital which is linked to the cultural and educational domain of the family and constitutes one of the main variables of family work.

Therefore, the objective of this research paper is to approach a sociological vision in the concept of cultural capital of the family starting from the historical roots of the emergence of the term cultural capital then defining it and mentioning its characteristics and its components, we will then present the concept of family, its characteristics, its functions and finally the function of family cultural capital.
