The study aimed to monitor the youth's dependence on social media networks to raise awareness against extremist ideas.

It relied on the analytical and field survey methodology.

The content analysis tool included 4 Facebook pages, some of which were awareness-raising and the other broadcast extremist ideas.

The electronic survey form in the application was also relied on on an available sample of young people that included (300) young people, and the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: Facebook represents credibility and confidence among the public, especially the youth group, due to the intensity of youth exposure and their heavy dependence on that site as an awareness-raising platform, characterized by the confidence of the public in general and the youth in particular.

Because it provides a free space for publishing, which traditional means such as newspapers and television lack, and the awareness pages against extremist ideas possess full awareness of the danger of the spread of these ideas and their malicious nature and the fundamental harm they can cause in society.
