The current research aimed to know the effect of the two-star and Umniah strategy on developing critical reading skills for fourth-grade literary students, and to achieve the research goal, the researcher conducted the quasi-experimental approach procedures, and adopted an experimental design, which is the design of the control group with a pre-test, and before starting the experiment the researcher was statistically rewarded between the students of the two research groups In some variables: (chronological age, the academic achievement of the parents, intelligence, and the critical reading test).
The researcher prepared a list of critical reading skills for middle school students, and also prepared a test to measure these skills.
The test consisted of (22) items, which the researcher made sure of its validity and reliability.
The experiment was applied in the second semester of the 2017-2018 academic year on a sample consisting of (66) female students of the fourth grade literary, randomly selected from the research community.
There are (33) female students studying reading according to the current search strategy.
They were also chosen randomly from the Revolutionary Secondary School for Girls.
After the end of the experiment and the application of the critical reading test, and after processing the data statistically, the results of the research revealed the effect of a two-star strategy and a wish in developing critical reading skills.
