كانت الدول الأوربية و على مدار السنوات السابقة و تحديداً ما بعد الحرب الباردة تحاول جاهدة و بشتى الوسائل من أجل الوصول الى مصادر الطاقة أسوة بما كانت تقوم به الدول الأخرى في المنطقة ، كالصين والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية و غيرها من الدول المتنافسة ، لذلك اتبعت استراتيجية مختلفة عن نظيراتها من تلك الدول متمثلة بجانب العلاقات الاقتصادية مع دول المنطقة و السعي دوماً الى عقد صفقات معها من أجل تثبيت نفسها لدى تلك الدول و قد نجحت في أغلب ما كانت تروم اليه

Over the past years, particularly after the Cold War, European countries have been trying hard to reach energy sources like other countries in the region, such as China, the United States and other competing countries.
In addition to economic relations with the countries of the region and always seek to conclude deals with them in order to establish themselves with those countries have succeeded in most of what was intended
