Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of psychological and social compatibility and its relation to the motivation of achievement among male and female players of volleyball in palestinian universities.

the researchers used the descriptive methodology on a sample of 72 volleyball players from both sexes in the palestinian universities.

the researchers used the measure of psychological and social compatibility of their design, in addition to the scale (Abdul Reda, 2005) to measure the motivation for achievement.

SPSS was used in data analysis.

the results of the study showed the following, the level of psychological and social compatibility in the study sample was high.

the level of achievement motivation in the study sample was high.

there were statistically significant differences in the level of psychosocial compatibility of the study sample according to sex variable in favor of males.

there were no statistically significant differences in the level of psycho - social compatibility in the study sample according to the university variable.

there were statistically significant differences in the level of achievement motivation of the study sample according to sex variable in favor of males.

there were statistically significant differences in the level of motivation of mathematical achievement of the sample of the study according to the variable of the university in favor of the students of the Arab American university.

the existence of a positive correlation between the psychological compatibility and motivation of achievement in the study sample.
