This study has aimed to identify the mechanisms of political change in Saadallah Wannous’ theater, how much the international political theater experience benefited the construction of political change mechanisms in his theater, and his role in creating the revolution and the change in theatre characters’ state of mind, since the theater has its own role in political change by creating visible and fundamental change in structures, relationships, roles, perceptions, practices, customs, values and standards that make up the political system, the temporal analysis took place between the years (1968-1980) and an analytical study was conducted for two play scripts, (An Evening Party for the Fifth of June) and (The King is the King).

The study attempted, through the aforementioned characteristics and factors of influence required in the script, to understand the effect of the play script on public opinion by acknowledging the public opinion itself, since the theater not only reflects the image of the existing society, but offers what it deems appropriate solution.

Wannous sought through this kind of theatrical style to build an audience that can interact with events in a way that allows it to be freed from the role of a negative viewer, motivating them to give intellectual and conscious criticism, restraining the audience’s emotions and encouraging their rational thinking.

Wannous presented his new vision of the Arabic theater through his play scripts - the subject of study - beyond the concept of political theater, which prevailed at that time, stressing the need for real interplay between both elements of the theatrical phenomenon - the audience and the stage, and giving priority to the audiences through the study of their consciousness, disposition and needs.

This study can benefit the workers in the fields of art, in addition to benefiting the academic institutes such as the faculties and institutions of fine arts.
