Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the degree of application of the principles of governance in the faculties of physical education in Jordanian universities from the point of view of faculty members and according to the variables of the study (gender, university, academic level, years of experience).

The descriptive method was used in its survey method for its relevance and nature of study..

The sample consisted of (75) faculty members, i.e.

(50.3%) of the study community.

The results showed that the application of the principles of governance in the faculties of physical education in the Jordanian universities from the point of view of its members came to a medium degree.

The results also showed significant differences according to the university variable between Mu'tah University and the rest of the universities in favor of the three universities (Jordan, Yarmouk, Hashemite).

The researchers recommend the need to spread the culture of governance among the faculty members and work to implement them on a wider scale and to develop plans for the development of skills and academic expertise through the organization of programs and workshops to promote a team spirit of work.
