The article focuses mainly on the position of the Algerian newspaper “ La dépêche algérienne” from the revolution of Ain al-Turki 1901.

This newspaper has not hesitated to denounce this revolution and praised the strictness of the colonial authorities in confronting the Algerian revolutionaries, explaining their motives for the extremism known to the people of the region and their Islamic religious fanaticism The responsibility of the colonial administration and the settlers.

This position adopted by the newspaper clearly reflects its extremist media line based on defending colonialism and justifying its existence in Algeria, protecting the interests of the elderly on the one hand, and contempt of the Algerian people and ignoring their demands Anguish, and overlook the reality of catastrophic and the eradication of the spirit of resistance have on the other.
