Abstract EN

This research aims at identifying the social withdrawal among the intellectually disabled children and its relation to parental treatment.

The researcher used the descriptive method for a sample of intellectually disabled children from Qudrati Center for Special Education whose number was (40) child chosen randomly in 2016.

The research tools were the two questionnaires of social withdrawal and parental treatment prepared by the researcher.

The data was processed by the (SPSS) program, using one sample( t )test, and the difference between two independent means, and Alfa coronbach, and Spearman Brown equation, important results were: Social withdrawal was moderately revealed among the intellectually disabled children in Qudrati Center .

Therewere no correlation between social withdrawal and parental treatment among intellectually disabled children.

There were positive correlation between social withdrawal and the disability severity among intellectually d among intellectually disabled children isabled children.

There was a significant difference among intellectually disabled children according to gender variable.

On the basis of these results the researcher reached recommendations important of which is that counseling centers must be established to develop scientific correc t relationship with the intellectually disabled child and his parents in consistent with the severity of his disability.
