This article treats the features of the Algerian short story by checking the development of the movement the short story in Algeria, and revealing some of its peculiarities as an important tributary of modern Algerian literature, and stand on the aesthetic and thematic aspects of this creative production, and then discussing the most important stages of its development, from the story essay stage to the story image stage, then from the social story, to the stage of the social story and the political one.
