Abstract EN

The texts studied in this research had tackled the foods prepared from the cattle of the fattening pens.

It is well known that the city of Larsa had been famous for its economy that relied on livestock.

Therefore, we see that the importance of those texts lies mainly in being a record for this city.

Thus, these texts have been classified under expenditure texts (BA.ZI).

As for the content of these texts, they were almost the same, mentioninglivestock numbers and types.

Thus, we find that the author or responsible for this hangar archive records the accurate detail on animal numbers and types, as well as stating therecipient and purpose.

For this reason, this is considered asa kind of tax collection or economic statistics for the riches of the Kingdom of Larsa and its cities, along with the political dimensions of King Rim-Sin I towards those cities, trying to gain the consent of their rulers through gifts and grants awarded to their messengers.
