Abstract EN

Relationships of Turkey with other neighboring countries have featured with stress and instability since its foundation in 1923 because of there were not a distinguished common borders between Turkey and these countries and many frontier regions for Turkey were in dispute with these countries.

With Iraq was Almousel problem, and Al-Eskandarouna problem with Syria, and eastern Tarakia problem with Bulgaria .

For Al-Mousel problem was solved by interference of united nations union in 1927 , Al- Eskandarona problem was compromised by its inclusion to Turkey in 1939 as a part of the deal with mandating France on Syria, while eastern Trakia problem was still unsolved and active with Bulgaria and affected not only the nature of relationships the two countries but on the overall political situation of Balkan region .

The problem of Turkish-Bulgarian was more complicated due to the common residents of the borders between these countries that there is a Muslim Turkish community in Bulgaria created a continuous premonition for the sequent governments of Bulgaria the demand of next Turkish governments to include that Turkish Muslim community to Turkey by redrawing the boundaries between the two countries according to demographic situation of the population in that areas.

Also there is another factor which is represented by the will of Bulgaria to a spot on Mesopotamia coast especially that these areas were part of the kingdom of historic Bulgaria which was divided into Greece, Yugoslavia and Romania so we can say that the relationships between Turkey and Bulgaria was rotating into the frame of these two factors.

It is worth to say there were some countries like Germany and British played an active role in directing the path of relationships between Turkey and Bulgaria especially and Balakan countries generally according to the benefits and prevalence of these two countries.
