Abstract EN

The aims of this study is reveal the role of social networking sites in developing the ideas of environmental citizenship while highlighting the level of influence on university professors of different ranks.

The study was conducted through the distribution of a questionnaire consisting of four axes on a sample of professors at the University of Souk Ahras, estimated at 61 professors distributed through Using the stratified sample on the various colleges in the university.

It was concluded that there is a great tendency for teachers to use social media as they have a high trend towards adopting the ideas of environmental citizenship, in addition to that there is a direct correlation between the use of social media and the development of ideas of environmental citizenship.
