Abstract EN
The research seeks to demonstrate the contribution of ICTs to crisis management through an exploratory study of the views of a sample of individuals in the Central Bank of Iraq / Baghdad.
As the pace of technological progress accelerates, ICT adoption has expanded to include various critical areas including crisis management, The Central Bank of Iraq (under study) should take advantage of ICT applications in managing the crises facing it in its banking sector.
In general, the research attempts to answer the following questions: 1.
Is there a clear perception in the researched organization about information and communication technology? 2.
Is there a clear perception in the researched organization about crisis management? 3.
What is the nature of the correlation and impact relationships between information and communication technology and crisis management? In order to answer the above questions, the analytical descriptive method was adopted.
This was done through the design and construction of a scale that has the ability to measure the main dimensions of the research.
The questionnaire consisted of 70 questionnaires distributed through a sample intended for a number of managers and their assistants as a research sample.
A range of statistical methods has been used.
The research reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is the existence of a significant correlation between ICT and crisis management at the level of the researched organization.
A number of proposals were presented, most notably the need for ready plans and crisis management scenarios, which are continuously updated and tested to ensure their.
