The study evaluated the degree of religious commitment of the parents of patients with cancer, and investigated the relationship of religious commitment to the degree of PTSD.

Where the study was conducted on (54 individuals), their children are being treated at Skikda Hospital.

Both the Davidson scale for post-traumatic stress disorder and a measure of religious commitment were used, and after statistical treatment, the following results were reached: Parents of patients with cancer showed a high degree of religious commitment, and the study showed the existence of an inverse correlation statistically significant between the degree of post-stress Trauma and degree of religious commitment by parents of patients with cancer.
