Abstract EN

This study seeks to question contemporary Arab rhetorical efforts in the field of the 'argumentative study' in contemporary rhetorical theories, especially the theory of 'new rhetoric' by Perlman and Tética.

This is by revealing the course and extent of those efforts by offering them and knowing some of the obstacles or objections that may prevent the desired objective.

I also sought to develop proposals that might be an essential step in the development of an Arab rhetorical theory that is condoned by expanding the concept of rhetoric and rooting the (a r g u m e n t) in the heritage and subjecting modern and contemporary discourses to it.

For the sake of that pursuit, the historical and descriptive approaches combined with the inductive procedure were combined; the first was to trace the beginnings of the reception, while the other revealed to us the reality of those efforts whose similarity was shown by the induction.
