This study aims to try to shed light on the omani novelist's achievement The Fingers of Maryam by Aziza Al-Taie, who has decided to delve into the worlds of Omani women and their psychological, social and cultural issues.

Focused on the struggle of a woman in an imaginary narrative space framed by the city of Muscat or what the writer called the projected space, where the stories of Mary and her four daughters seeking self-realization begin by freedom from ideas that oppress women and restrict their dreams and choices, it is the struggle of generations with a new vision through which the writer focused on the relationship of mother and daughters.

Thus, we can ask through this study the following problems: how did the writer deal with the city of Muscat and move it from reality to imagination? Where is the conflict between the city and the characters of the novel manifested? How did Muscat's contradictions enrich the stories in the novel? How did narrative techniques provide the many shipments of conflict that characterized the course of events?
