Abstract EN

As nature, land, climate and water are the main factors for sustaining agriculture; it is axiomatic that agricultural development mast be associated with keeping land fertile, water pure and environment relevant.

When any of these constituents is damaged, agriculture will be negatively affected.

The importance of this research stems from the fact that agriculture is the main source of human’s basic needs on the one hand, and it has a negative effects when misused as it has the ability to preserve the ecosystem, on the other hand.

The research aims at studying the extent at which achieving sustained agricultural development and steps taken on the international.

The study arrives at a number of conclusions including: the ability of the agricultural sector in meeting the increasing needs for food and other produce internationally coupled with an increase of using inputs that would damage the environment.

Advanced countries have long realized that and have tended to decrease the use of such inputs; while the developing countries continue using such inputs intensively.

A number of suggestions that the researcher finds them to be relevant are presented
