English Abstract

The aim of the current research is to identify the communication problems of students with hearing impairments in higher education institutions.

By answering and the following two questions; What are the most important communication problems for students with hearing impairments in higher education institutions? What are the proposals and solutions that contribute to solving the communication problems of students with hearing impairments? The sample consisted of (n = 22) of the hearing-impaired students who were integrated into some departments of the Faculty of Specific Education at Ain Shams University (Education Technology - Home Economics - Art Education), their professors (n = 20) and their ordinary colleagues (n = 450) and sign language interpreters (n = 24) and the college employees (n = 10), using the descriptive Methedology.

By answering (5) open questionnaires, via the interview method.

The results releated a number of problems that hinder the communication process of these students in higher education institutions, and some proposals and solutions to these problems were presented.
