Abstract EN

This study aims to assess the role of monetary policy in Algeria in achieving monetary stability during the period (2011-2020), through the analysis of the legal framework for monetary policy, the presentation of the instruments used by the Bank of Algeria and their developments during the study period, with a view to achieving and maintaining monetary stability, the role of monetary policy in achieving internal and external stability was also emphasized in the analysis of the most important indicators targeted by monetary policy in Algeria.

The study found that the change in the practical framework of monetary policy in Algeria during the study period, depending on the economic situation, contributes to a more decisive pursuit of the objective of financial stability, relying on the gains achieved in the area of monetary stability and the ability to resist by the banking sector.
